Organizing Your Home: The Attic
The attic can be a daunti
ng place. It’s
dark and suffers from extreme temperature issues. In the winter you need to wear your coat just to stand the cold up there and in the summer you will sweat without even moving. It can also be, well, a little scary. But it can be a great place to store items and when it comes to organizing your home, you want to utilize the attic as best as you can.
The best way to do this is to first get organizing products like air tight bins that will keep your items safe from the extreme temperatures. Then make sure you label everything before packing it away up there. The last thing you’ll need is to be rummaging through bins for hours, trying to find the Christmas ornaments.
Make sure that whatever you do place up in the attic is something you won’t be needing anytime soon, or it’s going to be a pain to keep going up and down. Seasonal items, old collectibles that you don’t have room to display, and childhood toys may be the kind of things you keep up here.
Don’t under utilize your attic. You can turn it from a barren, scary place to
